Don't forget the East College Park June Day in the Park
Sunday, June 6th 1-4pm behind Roland Michener School
Come out and enjoy the Astro Jump, dunk tank, and other activities
Bring a few dollars for sno cones, popcorn, and hotdogs!
Hello ECP Residents!
Welcome to Spring and a truckload of fun activities! Soccer and Football teams should be starting their practices soon, Yoga is going strong, and Girls on the Move is winding up on April 23rd. Thank you to all the coaches and parents who support our teams in multiple ways.
Although we unfortunately lost our funding for this year’s Summer Day in the Park, we have managed to find a way to keep this event going, and look forward to seeing all of you out on Sunday, June 6th from 1-4pm behind Roland Michener School. Come out and join us for an afternoon of fun with Astro Jump events, a dunk tank (bring a towel!), and some other activities. And don’t forget to bring a few dollars for some sno cones, popcorn and hotdogs!
I would like to tell you about a project that the Community Association wants to begin soon. Over the past couple of years, we have had multiple problems with the lighting around the skating rink. The ECPCA has plans to upgrade the lighting system, but it is not cheap and we will need to look at ways to fundraise to cover part of the cost. If anyone has some good fundraising ideas, I’d be pleased to hear them; or if you have experience in fundraising and are in the position to help, we’d be happy to put your talent to good use!
As you know, we were not able to run softball this spring due to the lack of a coordinator. We will also be in need of a football coordinator for the fall. If you have an interest in helping organize either of these sports, please contact one of our members or come out to one of our meetings which are held on the first Thursday of every month at Roland Michener School at 8:15pm. We have two more meetings (May & June) before the summer break and the day and time of our AGM will be announced at a later date.
See you on June 6th at the Day in the Park!
